Children have always been a big part of my life. As the oldest of six children, I learned early on how much I love being around kids and watching them grow. I spent years nannying while attending college, earned my degree in Education, and am now lucky enough to be raising six children of my own.

I created Safari Preschool because I believe preschool should be a place where children feel safe, capable, curious, and excited to learn. My goal is not only to help children build the academic and classroom skills they need for Kindergarten, but also to help them develop confidence in themselves and a genuine love of learning.

One of my favorite parts of teaching is watching that little “light bulb moment”—when a child suddenly understands something they have been working on and you can see the excitement on their face. Those moments are what make teaching so rewarding.

When I’m not at Safari Preschool, you’ll usually find me with my family. We love being outdoors and spending time together camping, boating, snowboarding, and cheering each other on at all of our kids’ different activities. Being a mom is my favorite job, and I love bringing that same excitement, patience, and care into my classroom.
